Nominator's project description

Professor Kotliar is a theoretical condensed matter physicist. He is well known internationally for his outstanding work on strongly correlated electron systems and electron structure calculations and has made important contributions in the formulation and the development of Dynamical Mean Field Theory, a widely-used tool for predicting the properties of materials featuring strong interactions. During his stay in Germany, he intends to continue his research on unconventional superconductors.
